Survey: Employees’ feedback on the company party
"The goal was to learn what employees think about the latest party our company held. As a result we got criticisms, praise and helpful ideas"

Task / Problem

Learn employees’ feedback on the company summer party.

Result

45 employees were surveyed (most of them not only gave their scores but also left detailed comments even though it wasn’t required).

What they didn’t like: unwanted guests from outside the company, an annoying host, amateur photographer. And we lacked somewhere to play sports.
What they liked: swimming pool, drinks, good party atmosphere.
In general, they liked the party.

Conclusion

Next time, we’ll hire another host, a more professional photographer, and select a place where our employees can play sports too.

Form: Event signup form
"We invited 67 potential guests. Identified what kind of people might like such an event. Asked them about their expectations of the event"

Task / Problem

Invite the required number of people. Understand what kind of people might like such events. Find out their expectations. Make a client list for future events.

Result

We invited 67 potential guests. Identified what kind of people might like such an event. Asked them about their expectations of the event.

Conclusion

We made some changes to the program thanks to those who left their expectations of the event. 43 guests of all registered people attended the event, which is approximately 64%. In the future, we'll have more people in mind.

The guests were mostly male developers, aged 24-35. Approximately half of them left their emails. We’ll notify them about the next event in advance.

Poll: Which coffee is the best?
"I conducted a survey to see what types of coffee the staff like best. Will repeat the poll later to find out if the changes are helpful"

Task / Problem

A pod coffee machine and various capsules for it were bought for the office.
The staff drink certain types of coffee more than others. I wanted to know which types they prefer.

Result

58 people voted. The winners are the Maracaibo and Ethiopian Mocha coffees. Let’s test them.

Conclusion

Firstly, each employee was trying all the coffee types over a period of one week. Some even discovered something new. Secondly, the coffee type that was consumed more often was just closer to the machine. In terms of taste, another type of coffee was the most popular. So we decided to run these kind of polls regularly, and not just about coffee.

Questionnaire: Higher scholarship contest
"We implemented an electronic signup form for the contest and selected volunteers and new specialists"

Task / Problem

The problem was that it took too much time to check a pile of paper docs and verify students by categories.

Result

253 students applied for the scholarship — 72 people more than last year. The electronic application form turned out to be more convenient. Those who didn’t pass were involved in work of the student body. This let us increase the efficiency of the departments depending on the category of a higher scholarship.

Conclusion

We decided to keep using the electronic application form. In the future, we plan to add an update for the students who filled in the form before — previous applicants will be able to complement the form instead of filling it out again each time. We decided to add a full database of specialties to the form. Plus, we’re thinking of including the Deputy Dean's mark (a participant's profile was always attached and signed by the supervising vice dean).

Form: Suggestion box
"We got over 80 suggestions in less than a month. I sorted them by popularity and added important little things to my to-do list"

Task / Problem

The way a product will be developed highly depends on the clients’ preferences. To develop the product in the right way, I created a “suggestion box” form and placed the link on the site. Now, customers can leave their wishes and suggestions in the form, which is much more convenient.

Result

We got over 80 suggestions in less than a month. I sorted all the ideas by popularity and added them to my to-do list.

Conclusion

“Suggestion Box” is a fantastic way of learning what clients want. After implementing some of the ideas, we received many positive reviews and thank you messages. In general, it had a positive impact on customer loyalty.

Survey: Your favorite games
"5 000 people were surveyed. Business simulation games are played by 34% of the participants. Gamer’s profile: male, 30-35 y/o"

Task / Problem

Before launching the game (business simulation game) I wanted to analyze the potential audience. I made a survey and published it as an advertisement in several FB communities.

Result

5 000 people were surveyed. Business simulation games are played by 34% of the participants. Gamer’s profile: male, 30-35 y/o. 53% of them wanted to join the community of the game and left their emails.

Conclusion

I expected higher numbers of people playing business simulation games. The good news is that the gamer’s profile (male, 30-35 y/o) is correct. Plus, we already have an audience for the alpha version of the game.
